SanFranStuck Lineup

Ok, it's finally done. This is SanFranStuck, a human/genderbent alternate universe for Homestuck that takes place in San Francisco. You can learn more about it from these drawings: [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]

Joan (John) is Jaden's sister, and unfortunately got all the short genes in the family. However contrary her small statue, she is quite the hell raiser. She has possibly played pranked, flirted with, or otherwise riled every other character. She has an interesting relationship with Kara, who claims to hate her when sober, hits on her when she's drunk, and all the time doesn't actually seem to despise her that much. They share a passionate love for beer and terrible movies, but never to same ones.

Jaden (Jade) is Joan's brother, and he's usually not in town that much because he's still earning his fiftieth something physics degree at Stanford University. When he is in San Francisco, he usually just spends it dicking around with his sister or hanging with Andreas, whom he has traveled with before. He aspires work on some sort of atom smashing/particle physics team. He also has a white husky named Becquerel, a secret passion for adorable things, and a rifle. He's a pretty good shot with that rifle.

Dave and Rose: they both display the effects of the congenital disorder named albinism. Dave has no pigment in the eyes and little pigment the hair and skin; Rose has more pigment than his sister put is still very pale. His eyes are bluish with the red blood vessels showing through, similar to Elizabeth Taylor's. [link]

Evelyn (Dave) is Ross's tall, intimidating older sister who carries a sword with her most places she goes. She works as a DJ/bouncer for several clubs in the area, and despite her attempts to distance herself from the other people somehow gets involved in their shenanigans anyways. She also gets mugged a lot walking home from clubs at 4 in the morning, but so far not one mugger has succeeded in mugging her properly. Defeating her is now the holy grail for muggers in the area; which annoys her because she practically has to battle her way home. Her red eyes are sensitive to light and she basically never takes off her shades. Everyone calls her Dave for some reason.

Ross (Rose) is Dave's small, effeminate younger brother who has a knitting hobby and a pitch black sense of humor. He spends a lot of time with Kamil during what he calls their "Stitch and Bitch Sessions." No one's sure if they're dating or BFFs or what, though speculation abounds. He is one of the few people other than John to be close to Dave, and matches her irony and aggression pace for pace with sarcasm and passive aggression. They have these sort argument-conversations so much that outside observers tend to think they hate each other. This is incorrect, because deep in their bitter little souls they really do heart each other.

Andreas (Aradia) is a a Greek guy who works at a children's history museum. He's a very active person, and loves to rock climb, hike, mountain bike, wear hats, and travel. However he's also poor as dirt, and has done many incredibly dangerous and semi-legal things in order to sate his desires to travel. He is pretty much constantly in a state of flux between living in shitty apartments and on the street, but he always shows up for his job at the museum. Always.

Tatiana (Travros) is a Latina girl who works at the local animal shelter. She does a lot of their heavy lifting work, and is a bit on the muscular side. Despite being stronger than any of her friends, she's still a total shrinking violet. She loves all creatures great and small, and refuses to kill even spiders, which she is terrified of.

So Hyun (Sollux) is one of those tiny Korean girls who is constantly mistaken for a highschooler, and she is not afraid to use that to great advantage. She is best buds with Kara (at least as much as that is possible) and works at the same office she does. They frequently play video games together after work. She lisps in both English and Korean, and has an obsession with dangling cute things from her possessions and ears.

Kara (Karkat) is half British, half Vietnamese, and just doesn't give a fuck of what you think of her. She has some issues with her self esteem that come from her parents, they kind of hate that she's only an office worker. She has a huge family and four other siblings that she avoids like the plague. She has a weird on again off again relationship with Tula that no one can quite figure out.

Nathan (Nepeta) is a black kid, and is the youngest of any of them at 17. He really hasn't hit puberty yet, which is fine by him because he likes being small and cute. His father works at the same company that Etsuko does; everyday when his school lets out at 3:00 he goes to the company building and hangs with Etsuko until his dad's shift ends at 5:30. He is a cat furry and enjoys role playing with Tula.

Kamil (Kanaya) is thin Filipino guy with a serious attitude who gets mistaken for girl so much it's stopped bothering him. He does custom clothing designs and other stuff he sells on Esty, but hopes to open his own boutique shop when he has enough money. He's kind of a shut in, the others don't really see him much. He is a childhood friend of Kara, and is one of the few people who does not mind her frightening outbursts of rage.

Tula (Terezi) is skinny little Indian dude working at a law firm as an intern, but he is quickly and viciously rising through the ranks and even his superiors are a little frightened of him. He is blind, but his hearing is so excellent he can navigate almost entirely without the use of his cane. He has a version of adventitious synesthesia, and experiences taste and color from hearing sounds, particularly voices. His face is slightly frightening in that he's a mouth breather with wonky teeth from never having braces, so he always has a little shark grin. Also, his eyes never focus on you.

Vadik (Vriska) is a Russian guy who works at the local bar most of them frequent. He's a bit of an ass and will usually try to leech favors out of them before attempting to do something personally. He aspires to become a guitar player, but doesn't spend nearly enough time practicing.

Etsuko (Equius) is a Japanese woman and and only child. Her father is the owner of a powerful robotics company, so she has a lot of free time and a guaranteed job and source of money. She enjoys spending her time constructing robots for the company and fixing her friend's cars. She's painfully self conscious, and is fully aware how mannish and intimating she is. She has a crush on Andreas, who comes through her workplace every so often looking for his rock climbing partner. She has an interesting internet search history.

Gamzee is a lanky white chick who has done every drug imaginable, and is now trying combinations. She is a huge fangirl of the Insane Clown Posse, which should be obvious I mean really. She lives in Tatiana's apartment, much to Kara's discouragement and dismay. No one knows where the hell she's from or what her real name is.

Erin (Eridan) is a white person of Swedish descent, and an annoying hipster girl. She dies her dirty blond hair black and purple and generally takes great care in her clothing and appearance. Her family is quite rich, and she usually comes off a bit snobby to poorer people, but usually it’s just her being slightly oblivious of other people’s lives. She can never seem to get a date, despite all of her friends continuously commenting how she really needs to get laid.

Ferris (Feferi) is another rich white kid, much like Erin, but tends to play that fact down more than her. They've known each other since childhood, and Erin has a secret crush on him that everyone knows about. He loves animals, particularly cuttlefish and pigeons, and raises both in his downtown loft. He works as a SCUBA teacher during the summer and at a salt water fish store year round. He gets kicked out of stores a lot for forgetting to wear shirts and shoes.
